back on topic, Montecristo's #2 Torpedos are my fav,,,,what are the Dominican Rep versions?
The Dominican Monte #2. It will be a milder smoke without the complex flavor profile of the real deal. Just the same, it's still a very nice smoke.
As I said in an earlier post, it is my experience that Habanos don't live up to the hype. This may be because my experience is limited to the Cubans available in Canada. Some of them were so dissapointing that they must have been fakes. The one exception was a couple of Monte #2's that my brother-in law and I enjoyed while our wives shopped.

I think any Cuban Cohiba is nice (not the General Cigar knock off crap)...
Partagas Serie D #4 is also a nice smoke...
I did pick up some Partagas Culebras (a box of them which is made up of 3 caskets with 3 cigars in each casket), I haven't tried them yet though...
and just to throw in there, anyone familiar with the Cigar Oasis? I have one (in an XL version) in my 300 cigar humidor, and it is awesssssoooomeeeeee! I only fill it up about once every 2 weeks...!

The Cigar Oaisis is sweet indeed. My setup is pretty basic (primitive, that is). My humi is an old 3'x6' Diebold safe, and my cigars are kept happy with a big chunk of florist foam in a tray in the bottom of the safe, that's kept moist with 50/50 propylene glycol and water (I have to add water about every 3 mo) This has worked well for me for mant years.
I use coolers as humidors for aging. One soap dish sized container with ppg and floral foam will last at least 2 months once it is stabilized and you dont lift the lid alot. Efficient and holds about 500 gars each.
Everyday smokes are in regular humidors.
