I just noticed that a thread appears to have been deleted; if someone is looking for a service manual on CD or in .pdf format, are these threads not allowed? Plenty of manuals that are not the property of Harley-Davidson can be found on eBay and just wondering why if there are any links in a thread to eBay and any service manual, the thread is deleted.
Of course, I can understand if a seller is making copies of the H-D manual why that thread, or post, might be deleted, but why generic manuals? There are plenty of products posted here that are not OEM H-D: windshields, exhaust, etc... is it an eBay issue, Harley, none of the above?
Just wondering; maybe someone can explain it to me, as I've seen a lot of threads 'disappear'.
They are not allowed because Harley does monitor this site and all manuals in .pdf format are pirated material and are therefore a copyright infringement to HD. So posting about swapping or selling them in the open forum is not permitted.
