Take the 'vette. You'll be much more comfortable, and safer.

1/2 around town and on country roads, FF on the freeway. Always with a jacket: Schott A-2 bomber jacket for up to around 85 degrees, H-D cheapo mesh for when it's hotter.

I gotta confess, I rode in a tee with no jacket for the first time ever last week down the shore on LBI when it was in the '90s. Geez it felt great, but I didn't feel totally comfortable. I bet I'll do it again sometime, though.

When it's hot it is hot and this cats bikes stay parked because of all the constuction and traffic, and especially no relief from heat even at 70 mph.

Heat is over rated. Humidity is the real bitch. If it is humid with heat you will be uncomfortable regardless of what you wear but especially garments that dont let the air through.

T-shirt, jeans and work boots. The ride home from work yesterday was like riding in a gas oven.

Same here with the exception of a leather vest.

Temps were hovering at 101 during my commute home yesterday. Still had on my FF, mesh armored jacket, gloves, and boots. Yeah, it sucks when I'm stopped but thankfully once I clear the city it's 45 miles of open road.

I have to be "business casual" in the office so I just wear my Dockers every day. I really need to find a viable alternative. I suppose I could get some textile pants to wear over the Dockers or just change when I get to work. I see that Carhartt makes some Docker-type pants now. Guess I'll have to check those out. Any other suggestions for pants that could pass in a business casual environment that are a little beefier than Dockers?

If there are I have never seen them. It's the business/casual requirement that is the tough part. Those Dickies I talked about are a real heavy denim jean with reinforced legs, but not for a business look. You might have to go with a pair of those pull over mesh pants over your Dockers and take them off when you get to work.

I wear my leather jacket....when it is cold enough for a leather jacket. I'm not torturing myself.
