'94 Heritage Softail Special-158,000 miles approx. (I'm on the 3rd speedometer). Engine was rebuilt in '01, at 85,000 (factory reman.-due to pinion shaft damage from lifter failure at 49,000. At that time, new belt installed, new head bearings and swingarm bearings. Engine was rebuilt again in '02 (under warranty) when the rebuilt engine threw a rod bearing (engine never ran right). Second rebuild has about 67,000 miles on it and runs great. I install new lifters and cam bearing every 40,000 miles, but that's it.
Im new to Harley and just bought a used 09 with 7k miles on it. It sounds like most of you migh milers have had great success with your bikes. I still cant get over how such a hot running engine can hold up as well as they do. I'm frequent oil change paranoid
replaced:
battery
regulator
stator
wheel bearings
brake pads
one front tire (metzlers last forever)
a bunch of rear tires
fixing to swap swingarm bearings soon.

I put 58,000 miles on my 02 Ultra before trading it for the 07. I only had to deal with the cam tensioner issues on it. The 07 had an inner primary bearing go at about 38,000 miles. I have over 45,000 on it now, with no issues.
Biggest annoyance on this bike is broken fairing brackets, and just today a second trunk latch broke. At least its all been ****ling stuff. I have kept it maintained by our local HD dealer according to the schedule in the owner's manual.
