...so I was headed home yesterday from a morning spent fishing out on Galveston Bay (thunderstorms, small boat, carbon fishing rods, close lightning strikes, terror), and saw a rider on some FLH variant right after a frog choker thunderstorm. I was thinking that this was a brave man to go riding through this weather, especially with no rain gear (or helmet). Then he gets his cell phone out and talks on it for a few minutes. Wacky. Then he takes both hands off the bars and rides that way for a few minutes. This is in moderately heavy Houston traffic.
The combination of all of these things impressed me somehow, against my will. My hat is off to the guy.
I can't believe ya'll went out. I would have figured the tides and wind would have screwed up the fishing before you got there. You are right about the dude on the bike. I have seen some real die hard riders this year.
