dynamolowrider,
That's exactly what I do. I'm still have and use the Honda Goldwing cover from my previous motorcycle on my Ultra Classic. It actually fit the Ultra Classic better than it did my '95 GL1500.

That makes for another security blanket when I'm traveling. Any would be thief would think, "Oh just another Honda" and go on their way.

The ramp idea is out of the question. My wife loves me and is extremely happy for me but our house is not big enough to do something like that. I did already consider the ramp idea to the common pathway but it's too big and blocks my neighbors steps. Like I said I have several anti theft items in place but can anyone help on the weather factor. Winter snow time it would be garaged but if i'm riding almost everyday during spring, summer and fall would the weather really be that much of a factor. It would be covered at night and during bad weather. rest of the time fully enjoyed. Thanks again for any help.

I had posted this before in another post, I too live in Ct, and lived in an apartment complex years ago. I owned a Ymaha v-star and kept in garaged in the winter, but under a cover in the riding season. Although the cover did it's job protecting the bike from the eliments, It wore the paint off the corner of the front fender from the wind slapping the cover against it. After that I but a heavy blanket over it before I covered it, but then some people said it wouldn't breathe? Now I have a house and shed, but still cover it in the winter.

The only reason I was concerned was that I figured it would do its job against the elements but then I read some stuff about it not breathing and rust and what not , but I think that applied to if it was under a cover during the entire winter without being ridden. I don't think it was during riding months when the bike is uncovered and ridden all the time. I have a good cover with a vent so it should be fine. I appreciate the input from people with experience. This bike has been an obsession of mine for a long time, so to actually finally be able to have my own is seriously unf*@*@*#real. Thanks!

I kept a bike for years outdoors. This was in B'ham, Ala., rode most of the year, and had no or little snow. Remember some ice storms. The thing I don't know about is snows affect on the wheels and tires. You may want to check around on what is best to put on the ground under the bike. Put socks or something in your pipes and cover your air filter, critters. Put a stabilizer in your gas tank, and I would leave it unattended with anything that identifys it as a Harley.
