I just had my bike in the shop for $1200 worth of work. Picked it up about ten days ago. Got a call Friday that they just realized they had my registration, insurance papers etc. in the office. They had removed them from under the seat when working on the bike. I haven't had the seat off since I left the dealers. So now I have to ride back to the dealer and pick up my stuff. Will they give me a credit? LOL. Are you kidding?

There are very good parts people who really know and care about what they are doing and then there those who just don’t care. There are 8 dealers within a 45 minute ride from my house. I’m lucky because the dealer closest to me has a great parts manager and main parts guy. These guys know their stuff and have saved my butt a couple of times when I wanted to do something that just wouldn’t work, like put a 48 front tire on my 2000 1200C. A long time ago I had a parts guy get frustrated trying to lookup a part number. He had to look at the parts list for a kit to get what I wanted. He just could not do it. He finally looked at me and said “That can’t be done.” I smiled, said thanks and went to a dealer where I knew the parts guy. It was 30 minutes further away. I was in and out in maybe 15 minutes and had the parts I needed; a couple of electrical connectors and some crimp pins.

Stuff happens. You had the parts in hand, the box said for Sloptails except Rockers, and you left with them. If you didn't read the box before you left, it's your fault as much as theirs. Done it myself a time or three. Still have some of the parts I couldn't use, too.
Hit the nail on the head, box in hand with what the parts fit, you walked out the door.**** happens, you aren't the first and will not be the last.
We were riding the other day and stopped at a service station and I bought a icecream, you know a nice cool brown cow, extra thick, well half way through the thing it starts to melt, SOB, what should I do, should I ask for my money back because I had to walk back inside in the cool ac and finish this melting brown cow, jeesh I don't know what to do????
You got to be kidding right!!!!
