The Best of Harley-Davidson for Lifelong Riders
I wear safety glasses at work regardless of if they are mandatory. Is it perfect protection? Not at all but it is protection. I would rather be a lil hot in leather then hamburger meat in the event that i lay down my bike. You know there is nothing wrong with people who don't give a **** about their safety to me personally. When they fall over and hit there head on a curb and die i'll feel sorry for their family for a preventable loss. I won't give a rats A$$ about the billy bad A$$ that thought he was invincible and chose that it was against his free spirit to wear safety gear.
People think because they ride a Harley Davidson that they are different then then those who drive metrics. But you know what dumb A$$ES are dumb A$$es no matter what brand of bike they ride. One thing they tell you in MSF courses is you will eventually wreck your bike. I"ve proven this on every bike i've owned be it dirt or street. We have to do all that we can to enhance our chance of survival in the event that we do go down. Ride Safe.
As to your health history vs mine, you're doing a lot of assuming Jr cause you don't know me or squat about me. Maybe one of them bumps you took to your noggin has inhibited your ability to put your brain in gear before you put your mouth (or in this case fingers) in motion.

Amen to that, 100%!
In 2001, I was paralyzed from the neck down, 100%. 2 operations later, 8 bolts and a plate, 3 discs removed, I was as OK as I will ever be again. Don't think a helmet would have helped me much.
I do like to ride around at night, when it is 90+ degrees, in shorts and sometimes, (oh no!) FLIP FLOPS! With no helmet!
Occasionally I will ride to the paper box, 1/3 mile up my driveway, with nothing but shorts on. If I get hurt/burned/whatever, it is only my business.
What do people get out of sticking their nose into others personal business? Do they have NO issues of their own, whatsoever?
Live and let live, mind your own beeswax.
Thank you.
