Years ago I was about midway across the Mackinaw bridge and was hit by something on the left side of my neck. Within a minute I was in pain and my neck was swelling up. My neck was so swollen you couldn't see my jaw line. It took a couple days for the swelling to go down.
Three or four years ago my wife and I were riding down a country road. It was a hot day and I was only wearing a tee shirt. A bee went up my right sleeve and the stinging started. By the time we stopped and my wife looked at my back I had been stung three times!
Yep, just last week one went up my sleeve and stung me 2 times in my back, hurt like hell. Another time last year one got me about 5 or 6 times, same way
Yup, last summer....while riding down the highway something BIG hit my FF helmet. I didn't think much of it until I stopped in town about 5 minutes later. Felt a 'tickle' on the back of my thigh...squeezed it...and the sumbeotch stung the **** out of me. Bad thing was the bastard landed tween my legs and crawled down my chaps. Everyone on the street was laughing their butts off as I danced around trying to pull my chaps off and my pants down.
I was out for a Saturday ride one day to clear my head. Don't know how it happened, but all of a sudden I felt this searing pain in my abdomen, right between my belly-button and belt buckle. I grabbed at it, and it happened again! This time, I felt the little bugger under my hand so I squeezed real hard.
By the time I got pulled over and dumped my shirt out, I was really hurting. Turned out to be some kind of yellow-jacket wasp or something (he was kinda mushy by then) and looked to be about 2 inches long!
I had a welt for a week!
