Ever get stung while riding?
I never had before, but tonight I was riding and going about 50MPH on a lightly traveled back road (wasn't speeding)...and something came flying toward me and smacked me in my ear. Nothing unusual, as this tends to happen sometimes, usually a bug or whatever.
As I started to swipe at it to get it off me, it stung me, AND GOOD.
I quickly flicked it off my ear, without knowing what kind of bee or bug or whatever it was. But when I wiped my ear off, there was a decent sized stinger and some dark colored blood/bug juice on my finger.
My ear didn't bleed or anything, but it hurt like a bitch! It actually still hurts a few hours later.
Luckily there wasn't anyone else around me and I didn't swerve or anything like that. I slowed up a bit but kept my eyes on the road and the bike going straight.
Soon as I could I pulled to the side and took a look to make sure my ear wasn't blowing up like a balloon or anything then rode on.
But man, that hurt like hell. Couldn't imagine that had happened on the highway or something.

Couple of times. Last one was about 2 months ago. It entered under my vest under my arm. It worked a couple inches onto my back and then nailed me 3 times. Must have been a yellow jacket. Felt like fire.

Bee got my wife's finger in 1974. Didn't stop here from riding with me though. Then one got me in about 94. Made my arm swell up like popeye. Wife made me go to the doc and get a shot a couple days later since it just kept getting bigger. I thought, who needs steroids.

Not while riding but had a girlfriend who did playing golf. She said she got stung between the first and second hole. I told her her stance was too wide.

YES, had a bee decide my right temple was a great place to commit suicide. I was stopped at a stop light when it happened.

had a guy throw a cig out right in front of me and got stung at the same time not knowing I got stung I pulled up beside him cussing him and kicking the door of his car for throwing out cig and burning me then oulled over and pulled off helmet and a hornet fell out

I've had it happen a couple of times, the most recent was last Friday night on the way home from work while on the highway at 80 mph. A wasp flew into the side of my 1/2 helmet and stung the **** out of the left side of my head. Once I got home the incident required a significant amount of Budlight.
