Left at speed and I am right handed, I tend to agree with the post about being able to see more through the curve. At low speed surprisingly I don't have a preferance.
Hmmm. Never thought I'd get this good of a response to what I thought was a silly question. Lot's of good input though. Very informally, I'd have to say that the 'lefts' are outnumbering the 'rights'.
It all depends on which way it is to the next bike shop.........
or which way the blond in front of me turns...........
or which way it is to the bar.........
or ..........
somebody help me!
It really never used to matter to me, but then about 25 years ago, I high sided after I had been in a right turn & hit some spilled anti-freeze & water on the road. The rear tire started sliding out until I hit the dry pavement after the wet spot & it was all over. It took a long time to get back to cornering very hard to the right after that. (even though it could have happened going either way)
Left at slower speed...Always seem to find myself naturally setting up for left turns when parking, etc.....no diff at faster speeds...no idea why.....This is going to be one of those things that I won't be able to get out of my head now....I'll take is on as a challenge....I'll start making myself do right turns....even when I need to go left!!!!
