i'm not one to complain about topics but these boot threads have to stop, there's at least four going on right now in the past few days.
very simple, these threads will get you a recommendation for pretty much every boot ever made since the beginning of time, people will even recommend boots from companies that haven't existed in 60 years. then it will become a debate on USA boots vs. Chinese boots.
you'll leave more confused than ever. just wear any boots that provide support that are comfortable. i use red wing logger boots and they work just fine.
Knew this would be the outcome.Have to agree about RedWings as a lineman all I will wear. These are the most comfortable boots right out of the box, even almost worn out they are still comfortable. For me it is all about not interfering with shifting, being easy to take off and put on,and most important lightweight.Good Luck
I am a monster. I wear size 14WWW. It's hard for me to find any clothing. I found a company called, I believe, Ridgewear Boots. I have had a pair of their "Tactical" boots for a long time and no complaints. Yes, they are black and lightweight for their size.
Got a pic of you riding while wearing those aircraft carriers?
If you would be interested in a great pair of boots to last a lifetime, try Wesco. They are expensive, but custom made for your own feet. I had some made about ten years ago, only use them for all day riding and long trips. They make a true bike boot- waterproof, 18" high, double thick leather for protection if you get hit anywhere below the knee. Also comfortable, you could walk all day in them. Today they may be over $400, but well worth the cost not sure how much, but you will never need new boots again. www.westcoastshoe.com
