Default Another Boot Search

I have a tried a few different pair of boots, and I have read a ton of boot threads. and I get that everyones feet are different....Im a bigger guy, but my feet and ankels and calves are not big guy thick or fat. However the bottom of feet arches and (heel mostly) tend to hurt after standing around for a couple of hours. HD boots were the worse for standing around. (for me) maybe someone out there has the same issue...Im looking for nice full 8 inch boot that is comfortable to wear and even more comfortable for standing and walking around in....

I have HD, Chippewa & Frey, Frey with out a doubt is the most comfortable & substantially built. My next boots when I need some will be Frey's, they cost more but worth it to me. YMMV

I don't have a specific brand or style recommendation, but don't limit yourself to only "biker" style boots. The boots I wear most often would be considered the very common tan construction or work boots. If you want black boots, another option might be a tactical boot line like Bates. They provide good protection and support for walking or even running. There are a gazillion brands and types of boots out there. Keep an open mind when looking for the perfect boot for riding and walking.

Inserts for your boots can be helpful, too.
I wear the HD Boots that lace up in the front, and zip up on the inside.
Once laced to your liking, zip in and out , easy on and off.
Good grip soles are a must, an absolute must!
Even if it means going with "Construction" boots.

Check out Red Wing boots.
I really like mine. They are waterproof and very comfortable. They have many different styles and options to pick from.

+1 on the Red Wings. I have a new pair of the engineer style (US made, not the import), and they are breaking in nicely. Everyone's feet are different so what works for one, may not work for you.

I hear what you are saying about the Harley boot, I spent 185.00 and that was the worst buy Ive ever made those boots were uncomftorable. I bought these on a recomendation from another rider http://www.batesfootwear.com/US/en-U...t?dimensions=0 These are the most comftorable boots I have ever tried. One draw back they do not have a steel toe, but for me that wasnt a deal breaker. Take a look at them I can assure you is the steel toe thing isnt a big deal this boot is comftorable We did a ride to a national park and walked all day feet and legs were go to go for the ride home.

Thanks for the compliments on the Red Wings, guys.

I work for Redwing shoe company, and we make plenty of boots that while not specifically marketed as motorcycle footwear, are very suitable. Pop into a nearby Redwing store. They will very carefully measure your foot. Most of our boots can take orthotic footbeds, your foot analysis will indicate if that would be of benefit to you.
