There were always bikers in my life as a kid, but I was told that it wasn't something for a girl. I am not a little girl anymore - I am a grown woman with the funds to match my desire to own. Problem is, I don't know anything about bikes. I know I want a Harley, but have no clue how to chose the right bike for me. Help! Any suggestions on where I should start would really be appreciated.
Well from your username, I am assuming you're fat, so go for it and get a Softail Deluxe. I'm sure you will look good on it. My understanding is that girls go for this bike for it's low seat height and ease of handling, oh I almost forgot that it's awesome looking!
Go to a dealer test ride day and ride them! Start off with the ones that you like the looks of first, and try to get on as many as possible. Most likely, the bike will choose YOU!
I think the first place you should start is by taking the MSF riders course since it doesn't sound like you even know how to ride a motorcycle. Then after you complete the course you can go and check the different models out and see which fits and feels the best to you.

Welcome to the forums, there's lots of good info here but sometimes we get a little careless in identifying people. The MSF is a must and look real hard and above all ask questions.

Another vote here for the MSF course first, you can learn quite a bit about riding skills and different types of motorcycles in that class. Good luck and ride safe!!
