It'll probably be back. Remember how the Wide Glide was discontinued . . .

Yep; When the Softy first came out in 84, I thought it was the best looking bike I had ever seen. Finally got my 99 last year. The sum of a lot of functional parts put together to form a really great ride.

I can't say for sure, but their decision is probably linked in some way to which models sell the best.

I'm thinking the Custom and Night train, and maybe even the Standard will be back in 2012 with the 103 and a 240 rear tire like the Rocker and the CVO Springer. But I've also been known to be wrong once or twice in the past...

Seems like the skinny front tire is out and most of the models with them are out. Just an observation.

It was discontinued in what, 2000? Then resurected in 2007. Now discontinued again. So yeah, 4 years for this last run.

Cause it don't have a 200 watt stereo, 45 gallon saddle bags, lazy boy seat, chevelle floor boards, a fibergas bat wing off a old caddy and oh yeah a cigar lighter and drink holder.

The modern day HD Enthusiast !!!! Don't forget the 2 way communication complete with IPOD for listening to Rush.

Don't even get me started on the " Dark Side" carrots!!!

I'll keep my 21" customs thank you.
