Its a good solvent. I have even used it to remove grease and plasic roof cement from my arms and hands.
But thats all I use it for.

Clean out the bolt/screw heads on the chrome covers. Spray some on a Q-tip, clean away.

Great for flushing oily crap out of Panhead throttle and clutch cables. I think someone told me it was largely kerosene. Good solvent. Also works as an insect repellent in a pinch.

seat and grips - i like them very shiny, and since it displaces water I figure I'll be rock solid in the saddle in the rain (or long rides when I'm sweaty). So far, so good

WD40 was OK for wet distributor caps and breaker points but after that, I have no use for it. The only aerosol product I've used on my Road King is Petrochem Cable Life lube.

Taking off road oil or any adhesive left behind after removing a decal. Spraying a wet distributor. Nothing else. It ain't worth squat as a penetrant.

Damit! You all stole my tire and seat comments! So "I use it to clean my brake pads. I soak them over night in the stuff"

we covered tires, seat, grips, and brake pads

I put it on the soles of my boots

mirrors, and headlight as well (to reduce wind resistance)

and sunglass lenses (windshields too) "for better hallway vision"
