Going down I-57 south right about Effingham IL on Monday. See a bike coming in the northbound and its a VRod with....................... big ol' apes.
Now I've seen apes on a lot of scoots but never on a VRod. Sorry, no pics. Seeing we were both going 70mph+ in the opposite direction it wasn't feasible. Just kinda struck me as odd.
I know I was never a fan of the original seating position on a V-rod. Even though I'm no fan of ape hangers, I bet it adds a degree of comfort to an otherwise uncomfortable looking ride with better ergonomics. Now if someone would do something with the forward controls.
That's badass (minus the color). My local dealer had a V-Rod with a Road Glide kit (fairing and hard bags).... it was cool as hell. A fast bagger.... who'd a thunk it.
Local HD dealer here has one used on the floor with apes. Saw it over the weekend and it really does get your attention. Liked the look but not sure about the ride.
