Default New tires?

It's time to change out the tires on my 05 Ultra. I have the Dunlop 402 tires now. This is the second set i have put on the bike. I have been reading about alot of tire failures in this brand and size of tire. Those were what I had planned to put back on the bike, I have never had a problem with them. But now. I am second guessing whether to go back with them or search for another brand, What do you all think? give me some ideas and thoughts. Do any of you know someone that has had any problems with these tires? Any help is greatly appreciated.

There are a lot of other, good options out there. I'm a fan of the Metzeler 880's and a lot of guys are raving about the Dunlop Elite 3's. However, I had D402's on my bike before I put on the Metzeler5s and they worked well for me also.

Nothing wrong with the 402s. Mine came with a 402 and a 401. I've used the same and I've used the non-harley 404s. Never heard of any failures with them. I'm going to get the Elite 3s next time I change them and see what all the rave reviews are about.

If you focus on the negative you read you will park your bike.Don't think twice about your tire choice, your own experience is your best teacher. In all my years and have tried near every brand tire available, never had the issues you read about.Maybe I'm just lucky,or all the maintainance I do pays off.Good Luck

Try different brands and find what is best for your riding style/location and the temperature you ride in most......one brand does not fit all..........

+ whatever on the elite 3s.

i had a set on my 07. was going on 19,000 miles when i traded the bike in and the dealer had no intention of replacing them, the tread was still good.

oh, and in addition to the wear, they ride good too.
