Default A**hole cager

Riding on the inside lane with a SUV next to me. She turns her signal on and starts to move into my lane. I honk and she flips me off and continues to come over. Hit the brakes and fall in behind her. Next light I pull up next to her and tell her she needs to learn to drive. She screams at me that she had the right of way since her signal was on.
I consider this assault by a stupid person. Should be a felony

She would've been missing her driver side mirror by the time the light changed if it was me, hate people like that.

Just because she had her turn signal on means nothing. It just means she wants to merge into another lane. Common sense would tell her that she either needs to speed up and merge over or slow down and get in behind you.

Yet more proof that we need to make it mandatory to retake the driver's license test at least every 5 years. I swear people really do a brain dump of all their driving knowledge as soon as they get that little piece of plastic.

Most people dont know that if you get a plate number and good description of the driver, you can swear out a citation against the driver. As a retired police officer, I have had people do that many times and it stuck in court.

I had a cop around here tell me once, "the blinker is an indication of what the operator is fixing to do, not permission to do it". I about fell out when he told me that!

I make it a point to stay OUT of blind spots or riding next to cages. That's not so easy to do in city traffic though, I'm always looking for a way out.

My son has his cager temporary and yesterday was on the highway with a Road King behind us. He kept looking in his mirror and I asked why. He made me proud by saying he likes to keep his eye on bikes more than cars when they are around him because he would hate to hurt a motorcycle rider. Good kid!

Call me stupid but when I see someone signal I make room for them room to change lanes.
When I see them change lanes without a signal I give them more room.

I'd add a basic driving course and rewrite the test to include common sense questions, like...
When entering a freeway you a, speed up to merge into traffic at the same speed they are going, b, slow down, its confusing out there, or c, stop at the bottom of a entrance and text your mother what to do?

We get a yearly refresher course on driving here at work, its by the Smith System people and although it took me a bit to finally get comfortable with it, it has made driving safer and easier to deal with.

Hardest point was to leave 4 seconds between you and the car in front of you, people would slide in between you and the car in front and for a bit there I would get more than a bit aggravated.

Now I just back off and in my mind blow their brains out with my carry gun.

Good point on the ball bearings and effecting others.

I think it was on this forum that somebody said, if they see you, it just means they know where to aim??

Al
