I love anti GPS cause paper maps work fine posts! Outhouses work fine, but indoor plumbing is more convenient

Getting home after getting lost is nice. Finding gas stations, etc when lost exploring is nice. And most GPS will let you map out a route to follow. They come in handy overall. Especially if you are not familiar with an area. I moved to western CT 3 years ago. First week I got lost for literally a bout 2 hours in the backwoods in the car. I had no GPS. Drove around so much without seeing a gas station to ask directions in that I would have been stranded on the bike. Finally got reception on my phone and had a friend who lived here for 20 years direct me home

I agree! Ever use a map while riding?

Keep in mind that GPS units ARE NOT perfect. Mine tried to lead me down a closed road twice, and there was that news story about GPS units leading truckers down a snowmobile trail in Maine last winter... Otherwise it's a good thing to have when needed.

I'm directionally impaired so a GPS is invaluable to me.

Okay.....ya know, I didn't read that story so I'm not sure of the complete circumstances....but man, if you're a following a GPS and are frikkan stupid enough to let it take you down a snowmobile trail.....you get what you deserve.

I'm glad I had a GPS on a recent trip down the Blue Ridge Parkway. One of the group laid down his bike and had minor damage. Punch in the POI for Harley dealers and it showed which one was the closest and we followed the directions to it and got the bike repaired. Without the GPS we whould have never made it to the dealer in time to get the bike fixed since we had no idea where the closest one was. Mine will lie once in a while and take me to a restaurant that is nothing but a vacant field.

My brother was strongly recommending a Zumo. I started looking and was like WOW on the price tag $650.00. Shelved the idea . . . then I got an e-mail from my credit card that I use for work. I travelled a LOT in the last few years for work and the card is paid off by work. I had enough points to get a $500 gift card... used that, plus a seller rebate discount to get a $639 gps (best price I could find) for $129.00.

At that price I bit. And I have to admit, my brother was right. I cruise where I want to go and when I want to go home, click.. and go.

I drive a semi and I can tell you that the GPS is 1 of the greatest tools ever invented.
I had a Garmin for years and loved it and yes once in a while it would try and take me down a road that I should not be on but you just have to use your head.
Then they came out with the "Truck Specific GPS's" so I bought one, a PCMiler and boy am I unhappy with it. Most of my customer are on roads that say No Trucks Except Local Delivers. This PCMiler won't even take the address I put in. I screen pops up and says...This location is unaccessible by truck. This thing is useless to me. I'm buying another Garmin.

Amen for the "Go Home" button. I love having the GPS mounted to the inside of my Windvest. A quick glance and I know how far to the next left (or right).

The last time I tried to unfold a map on my tank at highway speeds I found myself........oh well you get it!

GPS (Geek Protection Services)
I'm there.
