Softail Springer (regular, not classic) has always been my favorite looking HD. I saw one last night with a custom red/black flame job .. . it was just awesome!
AIM Magazine did an article a couple of months ago comparing a properly set up springer with hydraulic forks, and the springer won hands down in effeniency, ride, comfort, and handing. My Springer has a great ride,is rock solid in the twisties, and soaks up bumps better than any Glide front end I've ever had. And it looks amazing......

I also read the article. I also have a Springer and after riding it for 2 years and almost 11,000 miles, I wouldn't trade it for any other HD. I just happen to like the looks of a bike with a springer front end and if I have any issues down the road, I will deal with them then, but until then, I am enjoying the ride.
I love the looks of a springer, I've never ridden one though, now if I could just win that lottery!!!!!!!! Man I bet it took some digging to find that old post from 2005.

Same here. Every bike that I've ever built (and there've been a few), has had a springer. I wouldn't trademine for anything either.

Greetings everyone- does Harley still sell just the springer fork kits? I'd like a set of black ones...... but I don't see them anywhere in their online parts lineups anywhere.
