If you never messed with it, how do you know its perfect?
It doesn't load up from running rich or bog from being too lean. Everytime I take out the plugs they are a perfect light brown color. If it's not broke, don't F@ck with it.
don't start randomly f*cking with the timing, seriously you'll end up with a bike that barely runs.
i would take it back to stock and see how it runs, then try to rejet the carb yourself (you've now learned a lot of these guys don't give a s*it about your bike). but do one change at a time. if a twin cam change out the main jet and give the mixture screw a turn and see how it runs. if you go over 3 turns on the mixture and it's still lean then and only then start messing with the needle.
