If you say all the cables are not tight look at the TPS (throttle position sensor) it could be unpluged or could have been moved when you changed the cables. It should be on the throttle body the opposit side as the return spring. Manual should tell you how to check it or adjust it.I'm not near a manual right now.

Thanks for all you help it did turn out to ba a loose sensor.
I gotta tell you I once thought apes were the stupidest thing ever, till I tried them.
You just never know.

The bike is just probably letting you know it is displeased with you adding those ridiculous looking bars.

Well I ride with 16 inch hangers and I agree, I thought I wouldnt like them either always made jokes bout them till I rode 300 miles with them on my springer last year and I LOVE THEM!!!! WOULDNT TRADE THEM FOR ANYOTHER STYLE!!! Its all bout what YOU like not what OTHERS like!!
