Hi ya'all.
Hope yer labor day is a good one, and if you had to work today, thank you!
I think I have a small leak at the bottom of my engine.
Went for a long ride today and when I got home, I parked the bike and put a piece of used plaster board under the engine area. It's white and fire proof so if its leaking hot something, it should show up.
2 hours later I see a "spot". Not sure if its oil or grime and gunk from the road.
So I cleaned off the bottom and put another piece of plaster board under the bike. I will check in awhile to see if there is a "spot".
Do you know of a better or different way to tell if there is a small leak?
Thanks..
Once you know where it's going to drop put waxed paper under it. This way you'll know what is leaking.
Oil will usually run along a frame rail before dropping. Put some 2x4 under the stand to get it more or less vertical and you'll have a better idea of where it's falling from.
