Just buying the bike, paying the sales tax, registering it, and the 1,000 mile service have ensured there's very little $$ left for adding any bling. I figure me and my Harley have many good years ahead of us, so there's no rush, and no need to go into debt to dress her up fast. Even riding a stock Harley is a genuine privilige.
Taking it easy this time. Got an 07 SG and have about 60 bucks into it after two months and 1500 miles. Had to buy a few windshields!
I've lost my as$ on a few bikes over the years. People just don't want to pay what you have into it. So I'm not going to put alot into it this time and see if the experiance is the same overall.
I think HD has mostly got it right,my favorite bikes have always been the ones that have had very little done to them....Every once in a while I see someone's ride that has been heavily yet tastefully modified and I really admire their creativity,but those times are rare.
I've had present bike for six years and applied just about a thousand per year on it. Would be more if I didn't have to buy groceries and other stuff like that.
