Default SPEECHLESS!

My bike has been in the local dealers shop for three weeks now . First , the part ordered didn't come in, so had to wait another week. Second, now part comes in, but somehow they broke a tool needed to install part, had to overnight order new one. They never overnighted my part, or even offered to, just let my bike sit there. All of this during some of the best riding weather we've had in years!

The tool finally comes in,bike is repaired. It was delivered today, the only rainy day we've had in six weeks. I paid the bill Friday morning. The kid delivers the bike, and hands me an invoice saying I owe them $5.00 more!
This is after keeping my bike hostage two weeks longer than it should have, and after I've paid them $800! They actually went over my bill and found $5 more they could charge me!

I haven't decided if I'll pay it or not, but I have decided they will never get another $ from me.Before all of this, I had shopped there numerous times spending a few hundred bucks,(only been in area for 5 mo's).
I guess they don't need my business anymore!

I'd probably have to put that in perspective and not sweat the 5 bucks,in the big picture it's just one less 6 pack of beer.

Perhaps it might be worth asking them why they tacked on the additional charge before you fire the dealer.

NO class on the part of the dealer what-so-ever!!!

Five BUCKS!!!???

Why would ANYONE (after all that envolvment) tell a customer they owed an additional FIVE BUCKS???

Absolutely devoid of ANY business acumen!!!

A Total Fool!!!

Go somewhere else next time!!!

Jim aka kiltiemon (when I needed a jiffy stand mounting block to complete my bike I called the dealer to see if they had one (thought they would because it CAN'T be anything unique to a Dyna, just a little block of iron and no machining at all (one of the blacksmiths at St. Augustine could have knocked one out for me)). The guy on the phone says: "Oh! We have to order that from HARLEY!!!" I said "I thought YOU were Harley!!!" and when asked if I wanted them to order it, I replied: "No, I'll order it from a shop up here that I wouldn't expect to have it in stock!")[:@]

I would have laughed in his face. Great way to treat someone who just dropped $800 bucks at your place of business.

Put the $5 on the credit card and dispute it. They will spend more than $5 worth of time tracking it down.

I think we need to start naming these dealers here in the forums every time we are treated like this so others can avoid them.....................BG

SOme of you guys make me laugh. SO a guy owes a dealership 5 bucks and they hsould laugh at his face? I will agree it is petty and if you choose not to shop there anymore thats your choice but a bill is a bill. They did nothing on purpose keeping your bike hostage. In fact I will bet at ANY TIME you could have picked your bike up!!!! SO you cannot say they held it hostage. It was yours for the taking.

Then to be so low life to say put it on yoru credit card and dispute it shows the class of people you fit in with. Doing somehting maliciously to cost the delaership more money (and you wonder why prices are high and they are worried about 5 bucks). PLEASE do not come ride with us or associtate with us or the forum if you will be malicious in your actions regararding a purchase. Talk about a real winner. We know that if your offering this info up to others you obviously are doing it yourself. CLASS ACT LOSER!!!!!!

As for the service manager. I am willing to bet if you went in their he would not make you pay the 5 bucks. But to close your account out and get your copies it printed a balanced owed. I am also willing ot bet the service writer is not even aware of it.
