Hey yall, I ride a 2008 Night Train. When I'm ridin down the highway it feels like it's raining on my face. I get a wet/stinging sensation all over my face and neck. At first I though my gas cap or front master cyliner were leaking and splashing on me but I've never seen anything coming out of either. Checked and rechecked and cant find any leaks anywhere on my bike. My shirt, vest, glasses, helmet have never shown any marks.
It aint bugs, not rain, not coming from my bike that I can tell. It happens only at highway speeds, wether or not there's traffic infront of me, on cloudless and cloudy days.
Only other thing I can think of is my nerves are freakin out for somereason, maybe from all the wind. I guess I just wanted to see what yall think, if anybody else experiances something simular or has any other input.
I was about to tell you that it was condensation from the air conditioners of vehicles in front of you, but then I read you said it happens whether or not their is traffic in front of you.
I often get that feeling too - at first I thought a car in front of me was was cleaning the windshield but like you said it happens when there are no cages near - the only thing I can think of is it`s humitity in the air condensing on our faces - waiting to hear what others think.
in FL our roads are very sandy even tho its not visible. Anytime I'm behind a car or even another bike I feel like im getting a small shower, but its road debris.
