MSF instructors here?
My wife and i took our test about 2 years ago in pa and was talking to the instructor she indicated that an MSF course instructor could make upwards of $50,000/yr which to me is a decent living. Any instructors in here want to comment on this or have any comments on being an instructor good/bad or otherwise? My dad is looking into doing this and thought maybe there would be some pointers out there that i could fill him in on.

Seems to me depending on where you live it would be extremely seasonal. The other thing is I doubt it's very reliable. For instance with the state of the economy I'd venture to guess there's an abundance of instructors.

The instructors are paid about $20-$25 /hr. However a place usually rotates through a set of instructors. And you aren't exactly working 9-5.
There is also the seasonal aspect too. It would be hard to hit 50K
