been riding my dyna wide glide for over 15 years now and finally decided to buy a harley quick detach windsheild at a local harley store thats going out of bus.on sept 30 so they had a sheild that fit my bike for 125 brand new in the box.....went out and put it on in the lot and rode 185 miles today in a 15 to 25 mph wind and didnt even hardly notice it.i can even have a smoke on there now....WOW what a difference.....never riding without one again....

ha. i was the same.
never wanted to use one, got a quick detach just for long trips, and it really hasn't come off since.

Bikes look great without them, but they really do cut down on the wind fatigue; that and alot of the crap you'd normally be taking to the face if you're not wearing a FF or a shield on your helmet.

i still haven't made the leap, they seem real old fogey to me, maybe when i get as old as georgia girl i'll toss one on...

I use mine for day trip,around town and I take mine back off.

I don`t like the look - takes away from the Harley look, but I guess they do have their purpose.

It is a trade off for sure. They definately make a difference. I like the look without one. I have learned not to complain about getting hit with gravel, bugs, etc. around my buddy. He uses a shield and has no sympathy for me, because I refuse too. Just depends on what matters to you.

I like the look without a windshield but none of my eyewear keep the wind out and my eyes tear up so bad I can't see. I really don't want huge goggles.
