Default Weatherproof Box for GPS

Well Ram has done it. They have a series of weatherproof boxes called Aqua Box.

The face of it is flex membrane so you can operate the gps. Not that expensive either. And according to the dimensions it will hold the 5" garmins.

Get a Zumo, already waterproof.

And what's up with that lock? Looks like a 7 year old could open it with a pen.

Yeah you can pay out the nose for a zumo or buy a wide screen Garmin for a third of the price and use an aqua box.

Aqua box or not, you can also buy a new Garmin with up to date features every year and still come out ahead. I only mount the GPS (Garmin Nuvi) occasionally, so I've never seen the value for me in paying the Zumo price.
