Default Charging issues

A recent chain of events has led to replacement of the battery, regulator and stator on a 2000 Ultra. Now during idle the volts drop to around 12.0-12.5. When at higher RPM's it goes to just above 14.0, where it was prior to this. Any suggestions...... Thanx

What RPM s does your bike idle at? Your volt meter on your bike might not be accurate check it with another meter to verify what it is reading.

Thanx Geezer & Ed. I appreciate the feedback. Seems that it is normal and i was not aware, unlike cars, bikes aren't constantly charging. I think i got it.... we'll see.

What were the voltage readings before you started changing parts?
Then you would of had a base line to compare.

+1 - you need around 1500 RPM before your stator will generate more juice than the bike is drawing from the battery. At a "fast" idle you should have 13.5+ volts.
