Default my experience

I left earlier in the day and it was sunny and clear. On my way home later it started to get foggy. Something I have never ridden in before. My windshield fogged over, my glasses fogged over and I could barely see anything. Definately not the funnest ride I have ever been on but what the hell at least I was out riding not at home on the couch. I learned a valuable lesson to be prepared for most anything when you head out.

Then today I was out running around and some A** hat pulled out right in front of me. I was in the closest to middle lane and there was a truck beside me. The truck was turning in the parking lot so the driver pulled out. I'm sure he had no idea I was there and If that wasn't bad enough he STOPPED in the middle of my lane when he saw me. I guess he froze up or something... Anyway, I managed to stop barely before hitting him and gave me a few moments of puckering! Thank god.

Sorry about all of the rambling on but I just wanted to share with you all and give a quick reminder to be safe, enjoy your day, kiss the wife and kids (if you have one/them) not anyone else's, etc..., tell the people important to you you love them and live every moment.... you just never know.

Some good advice there, except for kissing the wife and kids (unless they are yours).
That kind of stuff is frowned upon around here.

When it comes to fog, I'll take the couch over the bike if I know it's foggy out. I've ridden in the glasses fogged over, can't see my hand in front of my face stuff and it ain't no fun. Quite right to be prepared for anything when you leave out.

As for the other fine people out on the road who are simply trying to kill you, just pretend that they are all playing "Death Race 2000" and you are worth a lot of points. Keep an eye out for Frankenstein and Machine Gun Joe.

Not a damn thing you can do about fog , put plenty of miles on not wearing goggles because of it , not fun but it is a test !

Fog and errant cagers has happened to us all.

Best thing to do is to get off the road if it's too foggy and wait it out, if possible. As for vehicles pulling in front of you...be sure look well down the road while riding. Anticipate what might happen and cover the brakes in case you have to make a sudden stop.

I always try to not get close to trucks where they could cause blind spots...

Sorry if I upset anyone about the wife and kids part, maybe I wrote it wrong. I have a wife and kids and was just saying if you have a wife/kids, etc. I by no means ment anything else by it! Just wanted to clear that up.

We be joking bud , gonna have to get a bit thicker skin and warped sense of humor to play in here

Welcome to the forums man really , something you have to watch out for in fog is getting what I call the " Bone Chill " . It hits fast and can give you a case of the shakes that can make you lose control of the bike . I'm a very seasoned rider and almost had it put me down in the fog before .
