I have bought some stuff from leatherup (Imports from Pakistan). Yes you need to buy it couple sizes large for to fit. But those leather pants are a funny things. The pants will go over my **** and have short legs. I had to remake those pants for a fit. Good thing I have some old jackets for the leather. My girl likes her leather jacket from them it was a $29.99 jacket. She not much for riding gear just the look.

They simply won't have the staff or time to go pull a jacket, measure it, put it back and get with you regarding the measurements. Not that type of business.

If you want more personal service, deal with a company like Fox Creek or Schott NYC....they have off the shelf jackets and also will tailor make you one if you get your measurements done at a tailor and send them to them. Or, call them with the measurements and they can recommend an off the shelf size that will be closest to a best fit, not tailor made. Of course, service and clothing at this level will cost quite a bit more than a $100 LeatherUp jacket made in Pakistan.

You do get what you pay for.
I don't really think it was asking to much, but as you point out. You get what you pay for, and it is not enough to stop me from purchasing from them again in the future, just a little thing that I thought would not be a big deal for them to be able to do in a day or two. I understand, and can deal with it. Just something that frustrated me at the time and wanted to point it out.

I know that I did not need to call them, I just wanted to, so I could ask them about the jacket.

Overall still happy with the whole process.

Me too! I've bought alot of stuff from them over the years. I'm really happy with the jacket/chaps/boots I just bought. New leathers for this coming winter since my old ones shrunk a bit.

No doubt. I wear XL in gloves and the ones that match my new jacket...wow. Had to send them back for 2XL which hopefully will fit since it's the largest size they list in these. Funny, because the XL Deerskin Gauntlets fit perfect.

I have this same pair from Tourmaster and while they get an A+ for function, they look like crap. Honestly, I'm a rather thin guy and I come off looking like the Michelin man!

I have this same jacket, also from Leatherup. Bought it to replace another, all leather jacket that I purchased earlier this summer from Leatherup but didn't like the style or the fact that it wasn't armored.

This buffalo jacket has just a touch of weathering on it, fits perfectly, has the last CE3 removable armor, and is (according to my lovely wife) "just plain sexy"!

Hey, that gets my vote!

Just wanted to update on how the exchange process went. Just shy of two weeks since I shipped my wifes pants and boots back to them we received the new stuff... Can't complain about that. Took about 5 days to reach them, they turned it around in a day, and took about 5 days to get back to me. The new pants and boots fit much better than the stuff we sent back, so overall we are very happy with the entire purchase process from leatherup.com

i would never buy a pair of shoes or boots online without trying them on that goes with anyclothes, every manufacture is a little differnet on sizing and feel, you put alot of faith in all the things you bought, and why did you feel peer pressure wear what you like just because its a h.d dosen`t mean you have to dress in leathers that are black your drinking the cool-aid

You are correct that all manufacturers sizing is different and that is a chance you take when you buy things online. Really the only thing that did not fit properly was my wifes boots. The pants of her's that we returned we where trying to make into something they are not intended to be.

The only thing that you could say I gave into peer pressure with is the vest I bought. Most all the PGR riders I ride with wear them with pics of KIA's and military units they have served in, if they where in the military. So I bought one to use for PGR only. I am proud of my service and I am not ashamed to show where I have been, just that wearing the vest all the time is not my thing.

I got leather stuff because it is getting cold here. In the summer time I wear an armored mesh jacket. That is not stereotypical Harley gear, I wear it because I like to wear more protection than just jeans and a t-shirt. Same goes for the leather jacket and pants. Protection from the cold and from the road. Yes the leather is black, but so what. When I was riding sport bikes I had plenty of colored leather pants and jackets, but I guess if you want to call me a conformist for not wanting to wear that stuff then fine.

Hopefully others will find the reviews useful and not be to scared to buy clothes online. Even with having to pay to return a few things I still saved a ton of money over buying from the local HD shop.
