Default Lucky Day.

Rode to Key Largo this morning and on the way home, I stopped at the local HD dealer, and my brake pedal goes all the way down. Puddle of brake fluid under the bike about 10" in front of the back tire, so I left it there. Service dept opens at 8AM tomorrow, so we'll see what it is.

Might want to buy a lottery ticket. That is a great piece of luck!

Probably blew the top off the brake light sending unit.

If it is the brake light switch unit, I just had mine replaced under warranty 2 days ago. When pushing down on rear brake pedal I noticed that the brake light wouldn't come on. It would come on when using the front brake only.

I'm told by dealership mechanics that Harley has had a bad batch of these brake light switch units installed and now needing replacements across all late HD models. They, (dealership) had 10 units come in this week and ordered another 8 units after arrival of the first 10.

I'm just under 20K miles on my '09 FXDC.

Yup.....was the brake light switch. Coulda fixed it myself, but I didn't want to ride it home with no back brakes.

Just make sure you thoroughly clean any painted or powdercoated surfaces that the DOT 4 came in contact with, frame included or you will be doing some re-painting as well.
