My experience has been most dealers don't negotiate price except occasionally on last years models that they may still have on hand.

What part of the country are you in? Someone here may have some knowledge in your area about a dealer or sales person.

usually around here all the negotiating involves is 'would you like vaseline with that or do you prefer it dry?'.....

thats not to say that we have bad dealers here, just not so many that they have to cut each others throats to stay alive. msrp plus add ons (and ttl, freight, setup) is pretty much standard around here.

I haven't seen negotiations off msrp unless it was a leftover. What you want to negotiate is what they will throw in as extras. Push until they beg for mercy.

My last bike they were more than willing to negotiate since it was Jan of 2009 and they still had brand new 07's on the floor. They wouldn't come off of their delivery and assembly fees, but it was pretty easy to get 2K off of MSRP but I had to take it on a gift card to use on accessories.

Same here. You're in FL, so you might have a little wiggle room. Shop around, compare prices and tell the salesman you're shopping.
