I think thats a great looking boot! I second the statement about rubber soles. I wear cowboy boots sometimes while riding but they don't have a very grippy sole. Can be very dangerous when coming to a stop and there is some sand or gravel on the road.
personaly i like the double HH Engineers, "arnie terminator, brando wild ones" thats what i wear, good boot and better lookin then cowboy in my opinion!cheaper too!
I have the Chippewa cowboy boots, smooth leather, and the lace up boots. I'm very happy with both. I wear the cowboy boots for riding and often when going out. They're comfortable and look great.
I like Justin Crepe soles. I ride in mine they've been many miles on a horse and a harley and still look good as every and are as comfy to me as a pair of fur lined bedroom slippers. ha ha Stole that last line from the movie Life. Actually I have two pair but one is Ostrich so they get taken a little better care of. Always like Justin Work boots and cowboy boots
I want something nicer than plain boots without going over the top. Very disappointed to learn the particular style (I show in the OP) is not made in the USA, they are made in China!! WTF?
As above......rubber ribbed sole and heel...a must.
Have worn riding (cowboy) boots for 30+ yrs...
A lot of western riders wouldn't be caught wearing black boots though....just saying....
Why wont they wear black boots?

I ride with Ostrich western style boots. Worn them many years. Yes, you have to watch where you put your feet down as they can be slick, but i wear brown leathers when riding and the boots look better with it.
Those boots look nothing like cowboy boots. They're just engineer boots with that ostrich skin. Whatever...
Just make sure you get a work sole. Leather soles can be dangerous on the bike. Ask me how I know.

By "western riders" do you mean cowboys? Because plenty out here wear black boots.
