Not all of their boots are made in the USA. They do import Chippewa boots that are made in China. Here is a some information on it. I had a pair made in China and sold them over Ebay real quick. Needless to say I was disappointed in the boots. My Rally boots are made in the USA and that is why they cost over $200 a pair. http://www.planetfeedback.com/index....eply_id=122365
These don't have the leather soles... I have two other pairs of cowboy boots that have leather soles - one pair I've had over 20 years and have had it re-soled, but man are they are comfortable! If these are the same as the all leather version, they have the Vibram soles, made to not slip... no problems with anywhere near slipping in the 3+ years I've had them for riding.
personaly i like the double HH Engineers, "arnie terminator, brando wild ones" thats what i wear, good boot and better lookin then cowboy in my opinion!cheaper too!
Yep, these look like the boots I wear daily, plus mine have steel toes for that "better-safe-than-sorry" feeling.
Sorry, being from back East, guess I just don't know what real cowboy boots are! Thanks for leading me to HH brand stuff... I like these, but not in love with them yet.. Like to get something like ostrich or such, at least one pair..
For those that are reading impaired. I want something a little nicer than the same engineer boots everyone has that doesn't wear the chrome tassle laden Harley boots momma bought them for Christmas (I've returned 3 pair so far). Seems women think I should not be wearing brown boots, and buy me this gaudy chromed Chinese garbage...
I have Chipewa engineer boots, they are great which leads me back to their product.
However I am NOT dropping $400 for a pair of boots made in China, I will buy US made for that number as long as good ones can be had. BTW, on the Chipewa website the ONLY boots made in the USA have the US flag in the photo of the particular model shown.
Have this Chippewa, and is super comfortable, great riding and has the same Vibram sole, have been looking at the same Ostrich boot in the brown, but cannot find it locally or any internet retailers that have it without being a special order. Hate to spend the $400.00 without trying it on.
anyone else catch the irony in calling boots with a native american name "cowboy" boots?
even more ironic is that they're made in china, as some of you mentioned.
too funny!
These particular boot are made in the USA, or so their site states. I also don't consider harness boots to be "cowboy" boots, more like '60s - '70s throwbacks. I have a couple of pairs of the same boot with out the ostritch. They came with a very lightly lugged vibram sole which I found to be a little slick in sand and gravel. I have had my older pair resoled with a heavy vibram lug and they really stick to the road.

Native Alberta guy here.....we are somewhat like you Montana guys, just a little 'rougher around the edges'.......
The boot pictured by the OP is an Engineer boot and not a Cowboy boot...
I wear Cowboy boots while motorcycle riding and horse riding...we native westerners could always tell the dudes from back east by their black boots. May have been a regional thing.......
Love your state, always feel at home there............happy trails.......
Right , it is an Ostrich engineer square-toe.
Ostrich is , IMHO ,usually a "dress boot".
Lotsa Texans wear black boots also.
Yee-Haw!
not a huge fan of them but under a pair of jeans i'm sure they look just fine. frankly wear what you want. i wear a big *** buckle just because no one else does not because i'm a cowboy, i have a beard, long hair, tattoos up and down my arms. i don't give a rats *** what anyone else thinks about how i dress. if i like something i'm buying it and wearing it. you obviously like them so don't be talked out of them, buy them and wear them...
