I also will not use Fram in anything , cardboard doesn't belong in an oil filter....I use wix in the trucks , K&N in the bikes. didn't know wix made bike filters, gonna check that out
I cut a few filters apart too & fram had the least amount of filter media. Wix is the only filter that goes on my fleet & my family vehicles including my EG.
Cut open a Wix oil filter and a Baldwin oil filter on the job (diesel tech) The Baldwin had almost twice the media paper (pleats) as the Wix, Also the metal skin on the Wix was thinner. We had problems with Wix cracking from vibration after 500 hrs of service, We switched the fleet to Baldwin
