First shot at trading need input
Ok here is the deal:
a HD dealer in Southern IL has a 2005 Heritage Springer TC CARB with 11,xxx miles floor price was $15,900
PROBLEM-the cycle has OBVIOUS damage from it either falling in a trailer or has been riddin into something (front fender, right side tank) So they have dropped the price to $14,900
They have offered me $9,800 for my trade (THATS THE AWSOME PART)
I have surfed the web from start to finish and almost ALL 2005 Heritage Springers are selling for around $13,000-$14,000
I am working the numbers and its going to cost me around $700 in tax, title, doc. fees, ect
WHATS YOUR THOUGHTS????? Do I pull the trigger? Offer them Less?
I have never done any motorcycle trade at a dealer before...

Too much. Retail is $13.5 k ,Trade-in is $9.1k
Plus it has damage !
