What`s your superstition?
I believe each one of us has a superstition while/before riding a bike.
I never put a helmet on the ground.
While going out for a ride: focus, count to 30, then go.

My friend has been riding for five years. He has probably got 100,000 miles in that time. He wears the same orange HD baseball cap on every road trip. Last trip I told him it looked so bad I didn't think a homeless person would wear it. No offense meant, but some taken. Guess I won't bring that up again/

I have no superstitions. The helmet on the ground thing is a superstition but your focus and count thing would be more of a meditation which I think can be very beneficial.

My mom had a dream once that a family member was killed while wearing a helmet. So I never wear one.
