anywhere near Seattle. i5,405, and 167 are a nightmare during rush our. add all the construction then throw in some Asian drivers, worse in the world, and it makes for a really shitty commute. gotta love it when they grind grooves in the road and it rains.

Yep. Not to mention those lovely cross-winds that don't seem to happen anywhere else around here.
Lots of 5 lane roads here in the commercial areas. Two lanes of travel each way with a continuous center turn lane. I think of it a suicide lane. Cars pulling from a side street trying to make a left onto the 5 lane main drag pull into the center lane like it was some kind of merge lane. All the side traffic from the commercial entrances is bad enough but on top of it you can hardly figure out what the drivers are trying to do as they merge into and out of the suicide lane.
This subject reminds me of when I was station in Germany and was riding a Triumph Bonneville. A friend tried to get me to ride with him on Stelvio Pass in the Italian Alps. The dragon-Tail wouldn't hold a candle to this road. There were no guard rails anywhere on this road back in 1970. Riding on this road could get you killed in a heartbeat.

I did some of the Alps in the late 80's those mountains are no joke anywhere you can ride in them , glorified goat trails some places .
As for the Dragons Tail , come ride the Santa Cruz mountains out here in Ca . or old route 101 up in the Olympic National Forest in Washington . Countries full of twisty roads for those who can .
