Last fall I broke down going to pick my son up at his friend's house. I called to tell him I'd be late and his friend's Dad volunteered to come haul my bike to his garage and then give me and my son a ride home if we couldn't get it going. He'd just worked a double and I hated to put him out but he wouldn't take no for an answer. He opened his garage when we got there and back in the corner behind a bunch of dirt bikes was a complete '48 with a catseye dash and I couldn't stop looking at it. I've wanted a bike with the catseye dash since the first time I saw a picture of one in Easyrider when I was a kid. I hope he gets it back on the road some day. He said he gave $ 1500.00 for it a few years ago.

i could get any bike on here running good and turning heads in a couple days for under a couple hundred bucks.. even the one in a tree...you need to see the potential,then anything could be beautiful.. i would give anything for the 57 hydraglide..that bike had like 30 bids and was at $21k with a few days left,and it hasnt run in years
