I never thought I'd wear them, but coming home from NW AR one morning it was in the 30's, and I was stuck without under armor. The night before I knew I was in for it. So I bought a decent pair. They worked great for blocking the cold air.
I am trying to get enough money to buy a better pair.

Haters on here = homophobes.

IMO, leather chaps are the best damn thing you can wear on a bike to protect your legs from cold, rain, road crap, and God help you...road rash, period.

Bought a thick pair last year, let's me ride in freezing temps. I tried long john's and jeans but that just doesn't compare to the chaps. Also bought heated gloves this year, that made a big difference for the cold morning commutes to work.

Living in SoCal I get to ride all year long, but chaps would make the riding more comfortable in the winter. I'll have them by Christmas. I might even post a picture.
