I have a non-DOT black custom pin-striped Biltwell now. It's my go-to favorite lid now...... I'll wait to see how small (or not...) the DOT one turns out to be; but if it's cool I'm all over it.

I bought a 3/4 Daytona DOT a while ago. BIG dissapointment, the thing tries to lift off my head anywhere over 40 mph. I just want to keep the wind noise outta my ears...maybe it's time for a windshield.

I had one of those Daytona 3/4 as well. Those are the worst helmets out of all the other 3/4 DOT's IMHO.I swear my non dot Biltwell would do better in a crash.Plus like you said that thing is a choke the hell out of you helmet.Could not stand that thing.

I'm interested for sure. I loved the fit of my biltwell. The only thing I hated was the big sewn in label that said is WASN'T a DOT helmet. Curious to see what they come up with.

It was about 6 months ago ... Comming home from a bike nite at about 11 O'clock at nite. Went around a dark corner .... didn't see the gravel ... bike went side ways and threw me.. did a flip and landed on my head/with my Biltwell on.

Notice were the cut is.... exactly were the padding stops on the lid. The lid was NOT cracked at all. Just scuffed with blood inside.... Had a little road rash too....lol... $hit happens!!! Bikes don't phase me at all..

Like i mentioned i still wear my Biltwell's... Im on there FB page and mentioned something about the DOTs.... Maybe they will give some more details...

My lux is all good!!! It was out for about 1 1/2 months... The pic in my sig was taken about a month ago.
