I can't speak for others but mine sure as hell isn't from old money. Mine and my wife's is from 30 years of hard work wrenching and being frugal paying off a first home and then upgrading to our dream home. All the time working 8-10 hours a day at wrenching at my full-time job followed by 4-8 hours of wrenching on other people's stuff at my home shop.
I'm finally at a point in my life where I can work on my own stuff without having to work on everyone else's ****.
Mike
I know my neighbors probably hated it, but I replaced engines on the driveway, wood frame and plastic for a spray booth, because my single garage was barely large enough to hold my tool and park a bike in. Bought, fixed up, and flipped cars, trucks, and bikes to survive. When I finally reached that point of being able to afford a nicer home, the first thing was a shop.
If it was easy, it wouldn't be appreciated.
No Old money here. Years of sweat, busted knuckles, and doing what we do.
We're not special, we're MEN.
