Default Winter Storage

I have a 09 Electra Glide and am storing it in my unheated shed. The bike is jacked up off the ground and I put fuel stabilizer in the gas. I also hooked up a battery tender jr to the battery (which is still in bike). Will the battery be OK in a shed without heat during a New England winter?

Put a cover over it and one of those clamp on light fixtures with a 75 watt bulb in it under the bike. She'll be fine.

As to the cover, make for sure that it is a breathable one. To save ya a bit of loot, if you got a couple old flannel sheets, these will work great. As a side not, it never hurts to put some folded blankets, old sweatshrt or something like that to fist cover the fenders and tank before putting the sheets over the bike. Youll read once in a while where someone drops something on their bike and damage the paint.

Anyone got any thoughts about putting cardboard under the wheels so it's not right on the concrete floor?

I'm (my bike is) in storage now too. bummer.

I think you can skip the cardboard, it might even make the perceived moisture worse.just park it clean keep it dry and wait for spring!

It is pretty easy just to take the battery out and keep it inside on a piece of wood with the tender on it. I just put mine into storage and took the battery out and put it on the workbench plugged in. I also jacked my bike up about a foot off the ground with a decent cover on it.

I had a battery tender burn a battery and had to replace battery. The tender had a 5 year warranty. Replace tender for free.
