Rode friends dirt bikes as a kid, although I enjoyed snowmobiling a lot more. At 16 my ol man bought me a GS750, I couldn't lift it off its side. Use to go 100mph down gravel roads!!! Oh to be young again!!
Always said I would buy a Harley before I hit 40..then Marriage...kids etc, finally when the Rocker came out I was 42, I creamed my jeans and pulled the trigger and ordered a 09, bought another one this spring to add to my stable, a 08 Fatbob, love them, there is NOTHING like a Harley, a lot of wannabes but they are not Harley's!!
It was my Dad. I was looking for a car when I was 16. Couldnt find anything affordable for me but the guy next door had a dirt bike for sale, and my Dad asked it I would be interested in that. It all started there.
