I just killed my Dyna battery again, I keep forgetting to turn off the console switch and killing batteries. Can one of you wizards figure out how to link the switch to the FOB in a way that distance from the FOB disconnects the ignition switch? I think there is a market for this type of accessory.

I know I am a dumass for leaving the switch on.
Extremely difficult if not impossible to do, not a simple fix. The FOB communicates with the security module. When out of range, it disables things. That is an internal/firmware instruction set hardcoded into the electronics. They disable the ignition when the FOB is out of range but will not interrupt the relay circuits used by the ignition on switch (as you found out). Changing that will require changes beyond a simple external electrical fix INMHO.
A helpful clue to turn the switch to the "off" position is to check to see if your headlights are on. If they are, your switch is too!

If you do it enough times, you may start to remember, or you could just wait until they invent a dumb-*** vaccine.
Would be pretty easy to wire up a warning lamp to remind you that the bike is on.
The Headlight? It would be difficult with the factory set-up, because it uses the ignition being turned off to know when to arm. It would be fairly simple with aftermarket "fob" type systems because they are much simpler than the Harley system, but do you really want your bike turning off for no reason while you are riding? That will happen when if you are wired up that way...sooner or later. I have never used the kill switch on the handle bars...always kill it on the console...much simpler solution.

Velcro. I have a friend who shuts my scooter off with the kill switch and forgets the ignition switch. i threatened to put a piece of velcro, sharp side, on the kill switch so he wouldn't use it. It worked,LOL
