I picked up a scorpion exo 1000 for my msf brc class that starts tomorrow. The fit is good, but it seems like the helmet has no space for my ears. This is my first full face helmet, my older mx style helmets all had space for my ears. Is this normal with FF helmets?
It should feel tight on your cheeks but not on your ears. See if the ear pads snap out. Some of them are removeable. Otherwise, the helmet may be too small.
...please show pic of your ears...that may explain you have big freakin' ears. jk
Show pics of bike instead...we don't care about your freakishly large ears.
Sometimes it's not about size (listen up ladies ); some helmets fit rounder heads while others fit more oval heads. If it's close, the new helmet's padding usually loosens up after a few hours as the helmet "wears in." I've made fine adjustments by removed the helmet liners and slightly relieving/reshaping the Styrofoam inner to get that perfect fit I want for hours in the saddle riding.

It loosened up over the 2 day course and is actually comfortable now. I do have to tug the helmet around to get my ears to unfold but like I said, no issues now.
ETA: I passed!!!!
