I say it is to make sure the bike is running right and to get the most out of your mods. When I did the pipes, SE AC and PC III to my XL50 with the dyno tune it was like a whole new bike-well worth it IMO. I mean you have a killer bike, sent the money on mods so why not do it right?

I agree with you 100%. I just hate coming off the 750 for the tuner and dyno right after spending 300 on the thousand mile service if it's not gonna make much more difference in just getting it mapped. But you are sooo right, do it right or don't do it at all! Thanks for the reply and the advice!!
The tuner isn't $450.00 if you buy it from Zanotti's. Most likely a canned map will do the trick so the labor and other fees will be less than what you are thinking.
Thanks a lot for the tip on zanotti's. their price is $358. actually everything they have is wayyyy cheaper. will definitely buy from them from now on instead of my local stealer!!
Thanks but I think the PCV will void my warranty. But I am all about saving money!
any thing you do will void warranty, for them to void warranty they have to prove the part added caused whatever failure you have. I had the HD shop here tell me they like the PCV better they also never said using it would void my warranty
Thanks, how much did you pay for the rush slip-ons? Where did you buy. thanks!
The Rush were bout $320. Would have went for the Vance and Hines Twin Slash but they weren't shipping them when I was looking. They are priced similiar. Good luck.
My dealer recomended the PCV as long as they dyno tune it.
My dealer told me they had the maps from bikes they had dyno tuned so they would just put those maps in for me to save me from spending the cash to dyno mine. I wonder how close that will get?
I think you"ll find it near perfect. I put in the PCV from fuel moto with the canned map and it seems to be near perfect. No popping or back firing. How do you like the sound of those screaming eagle pipes? Are they loud enough?? They do look good!

Well, to be honest, they are a bit louder than the stock mufflers but not exactly what I was expecting. I had a set put on my 2002 sportster and they sounded mean, but that was before all the epa crap the newer models have to run. The dealer said they would get a little louder as the packing "relaxed" so I am hoping this to be true. Thanks for the reply!
